According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Preity Zinta has apparently threatened to sack Kings XI Punjab coach Sanjay Bangar in the presence of the team.
Recently, a furious Preity allegedly had a go at coach Bangar after the team's one-run loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mohali in a shocking rant allegedly laden with expletives and threats of sacking. Preity was apparently upset with Bangar's choice of batting order in the match.
But reportedly both Preity and Bangar denied the incident. However, the report said that the incident was confirmed by four witnesses who were present in the dug-out.
A source was quoted saying, "It was a long monologue with a four-letter being used liberally. Everybody was stunned as Preity repeatedly threatened to sack Sanjay. Nobody spoke a word. Sanjay cut a sorry figure, which was sad because he was surrounded by young players and the support staff he is supposed to lead. It was rather unbecoming of the team owner."
Mohit Burman, the other co-owner of the team was quoted saying, "I left immediately after the match, but I don't think there was any serious incident. Next day, both Sanjay and Preity met and all was normal between them."
