According to reports, Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor has been waiting to kickstart her maiden directorial venture, a chick flick, tentatively titled Veeray Di Shaadi, starring four girls.
Reportedly Bebo has confirmed that she is in talks for playing one of the girls. Apparently, Rhea, who turns director with the film, is getting ready to start shooting by July.
Initially there were reports that Katrina Kaif and Sonam were being confirmed as the leads. A source was quoted saying, “Katrina was never formally offered the film. There were only initial talks but it never materialised.”
Also Huma Qureshi was approached for the film, but she decided to opt out of the film.
“Rhea wants a powerful team of actresses and she feels Kareena will suit the bill perfectly. Kareena has not signed anything post Udta Punjab and this will possibly be her next film. Talks are on and an announcement will be made formally very soon. In all probability, it will indeed be Bebo and Sonam saath-saath,” a source was quoted saying.
The source further added, “Swara Bhaskar plays the third friend. For the character of the fourth girl in the all-girl group, the makers have finalised Tiku Talsania’s daughter Shikha Talsania. While Sonam and Bebo play the leads, Swara and Shikha will be the supporting leads.” Watch this space for more updates. more info
