The only actress who pulled this off successfully at one time was Zeenat Aman – she went clad as a village belle to audition for Raj Kapoor’s Satyam Shivan Sundaram! Well guess what? Mallika Sherawat also went the Zeenat way!
Apparently, she’s really keen to be in Dangal with Aamir Khan, playing the role of his wife. So she recently turned up to audition for casting director Mukesh Chabbra, in a de-glam avatar! Her look was put together with no make-up and a simple salwar-kameez. The actress apparently looked so different that the casting team wasn’t sure it was Mallika at all! The actress even went a step further as she rattled off pages of dialogues from the script in Haryanvi. The film is based in Haryana, where Mallika hails from.
We don’t know whether Aamir will bite the bait. Considering Mallika was just recently seen in the movie Dirty Politics, Aamir may have difficulty accepting her in this new avatar. But then again, you never know. After all Aamir did once shock his audience when he signed Baazi opposite Mamta Kulkarni! More-Info
