I whistled the moment Tiger Shroff made his entry. And then he spoke and I found all the air that left my mouth a second ago, rapidly abandon my body leaving me like a deflated balloon at the end of movie. But what an entry boss!! He did a head stand, actually a two finger stand, balancing all his body weight on two fingers. Mind-frigging-blowing.
Usually there are action sequences in a movie, around a story. In Baaghi there is a story around action sequences. I am sorry. I am misleading when I say there is a story in the film.
Shroff plays Ronny Bina Screw Wala, (pun definitely intended) who is a rebel. We are told this at every given opportunity. He is such a rebel that when his father packs him off to a martial arts school in Kerela, he obliges. He is asked to sleep on a mat he doesn’t mind. He is made to sweep the floors of the school, serve food and do all kinds of jobs, he does them all with a smile. I mean he is such a rebel that Oxford now spells the word as –o-b-e-d-i-e-n-t.
In fact there is a scene where Ronny is given a ten minute lecture on how he should be a rebel with purpose which makes perfect sense especially coming from a movie that has writing with so great purpose.
Ronny falls in love with a girl called Sia who is special; like Taare-Zameen-Par-every-child-is-special-kind-of-special. Like she talks to the rains; holds fully fledged conversations with nature, like when it should rain, where, which parts…and even an –I-love-you.
Sia is modern day Sita minus T. Unlike Sita maiyya she doesn’t drop her jewelry. She lavishly distributes them. Be it a ring or an expensive necklace, if she has it, she will give it.
No wonder Ms. Generous has two dumbbells of suitors; Ronny and Raghav. They both letch at her, air kiss her, make dirty jokes as well. However one becomes the hero, the other villain, because the former spots her five minutes earlier. You see, women in Hindi films, are not human beings. They are like a seat in a local train in Mumbai; whoever spots it first, gets it.
Why these men fall for her is neither explained no explored. Their love triangle is so unnatural that Kim Kardashian’s face looks real.
The action shifts to Thailand where Kalaripayattu meets Shaolin Kung Fu for most of the second half. Right in the middle of the film we are told the villain lives in a ten story building that’s guarded by professional killers on every floor. I feared they would have a long fight sequence on every alternate floor in the climax of the film. I was wrong. They had a fight sequence on EVERY floor.
Baaghi offers some brilliant humor as well. Like at one point we are told how menacing Raghav’s professional killers are. The next moment a few of them are beaten blue and black, single handedly by Shraddha Kapoor.  
The film also offers intense emotional moments like Sanjay Mishra as a blind taxi driver, trying to make ends meet or Sunil Grover as a Punjabi daddy subjected to such uninspiring writing that you shed a tear or two for the sad demise of humor and comic timing.
Some of the action sequences are good but it just gets too repetitive. Fight sequences without any emotional engagement just falls flat anyway. You need to be invested in their stories to be able to root for them. The film surely scores in cinematography. The way Kerala is shot, especially the boat race (Vallam Kalli) sequence made me visit the state so badly.  
Tiger-Gareeb-Producers-Ka-Hrithik-Roshan-Shroff is cast well. His agile body and his training bring due credibility to the martial arts, the film features. He kicks some serious butt in action scenes, but papa, he needs to work hard on his dialogue delivery.
Shraddha Kapoor shows some promise too. She has lent such depth to the character of Sia with her clothes. Like she wears Salwar Kameez when she is in India and then slips into a blue bra top when she is in Thailand.
Baaghi bored me largely. Watch it only if you are an MMA fan.  More-Info

According to a report, Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed that he seemed to be in an exceptionally bad mood on the sets of Raees because his character demanded that he get into a certain mode.
He was quoted saying, "I am not really a method actor but this role was so intense that I had to get into a certain zone. I am not the kind of person that this character is, so I would try and be like him even when I was not in front of the camera. After about two months of shooting for Raees, my cameraman hesitatingly asked me, 'Sir why are you looking so upset these days? We feel scared to approach you.'
"To think someone who knows me for years would think like this, I was amused. He has seen me on all the sets, includingDon. This is the first time he said something of this sort to me. Even the director Rahul Dholakia told me that you seem to be in a really bad mood most of the time on the sets. I had to tell them that I have to do this to be able to get what the character is like. If I start talking to people and be like what I generally am on the sets, it would really be difficult for me to get into the character that I play. In an interview with DNA, Kangana Ranuat’s ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman has made some startling revelations!
Adhyan recalls, “I’d always see her eccentric behaviour as a woman’s emotions. But it started getting worse. One day when I was at her house, time, Bhattsaab called me after seeing the rushes of Raaz 2 and told me he loved my work and he would direct me. He quit directing by then, so I was like ‘Wow, that’s amazing!’ I was talking on speakerphone and she was hearing everything. She told me, “Behen**** mujhe koi kyun nahi phone kar rahe yaar?” That was the first time I heard her abuse. I was made to feel guilty and like shit for no reason.”
Adhyayan says the physical abuse came later on. He says, “I was walking down the stairs with her after a party, when she turned around and slapped me! She said, “Mother Fu***, behen****! Bh*sd*ke! You are f***** jealous of my success!” The intensity of the slap was so hard I was almost crying. That was the first time she got violent.
“The next day we had a press meet for Raaz 2 at my building. Kangana said she wouldn’t come. Our PR started panicking but then she turned up. I held her hand and said, “Baby I am so sorry. I love you.” She slapped me hard, again. I was just zapped! I was crying like a kid… and then the entire rant and MC/BC gaalis began.”
He also talks of drug abuse. “On her birthday in March 2008 at The Leela, she had invited everybody that she had worked with. She said “Let’s do cocaine in the night.” I had smoked hash with her a couple of times before and didn’t like it so I said no. I remember getting into the biggest argument that night because I said no to cocaine.”
About the whole fiasco with Hrithik Roshan he says, “I felt a sense of déjà vu as I could identify completely with what’s happening to him. I can understand the pain that he is going through. I have been there. It’s not about physical pain, but how emotionally tortured you feel. I feel like now,  I have to speak for people to know the truth.”

He said, “Kangana took me to a astrologer called Pallavi who always gave positive news to Kangana and negative ones to me. She said my time wasn’t right and if I did certain pujas I would be fine. I didn’t believe in all this but Kangana insisted I listen to her. One day, Kangana called me at home in the night to do some puja. I reached at 11.30pm as the puja was to start at 12. She had a small guest room in her apartment and she had covered it in black, including black curtains. There were some random statues of God, fire all around, some scary things kept. According to reports, the Thane police, who seized 20 tonnes of ephedrine recently, are investigating reports that actress Mamta Kulkarni is a central figure in the international drug ring that tried to smuggle in the contraband.
The development came as investigators revealed that Mamta's Kenya-based husband, Vicky Goswami, was the kingpin of the drug operation.
"This is an international racket and Vicky Goswami is the main link to it. As for Mamta Kulkarni, we are probing her role," Thane police commissioner Parambir Singh was quoted saying.
Mamta is believed to be in Kenya currently. While senior Thane officers did not divulge details about her role in her husband's drug syndicate, sources in the police said she was the face of the ring.
A Thane police officer who did not want to be named alleged that as Vicky couldn’t leave Kenya because of an Interpol notice against him, he asked Mamta apparently to meet clients in Dubai, Singapore, South Africa and the US.

The controversy surrounding Salman Khan’s appointment as the goodwill ambassador of India for the Rio Olympics 2016, has started a heated deabte. While many people are supporting the decision, legendary sportsman Milkha Singh expressed his displeasure and said that the sporting world should have been given the honour.

Katrina Kaif apparently feels that there is nothing new about Salman Khan being embroiled in controversies. The latest controversy in Sallu’s life started when he was recently appointed as the Goodwill ambassador of the Indian contingent for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Several members of the Indian sports fraternity have questioned the selection of the actor as brand ambassador.
Allegedly, during the wrap up party of Baar Baar Dekho, Kat was asked about alleged ex-boyfriend Salman being appointed as the goodwill ambassador. And apparently she was quoted saying, “Salman ko leke controversy hai woh naya cheez hai kya?”

Ranveer Singh has hiked his fee, reportedly to double of what it used to be, after the success of Bajirao Mastani. He has also allegedly upped his fee for his endorsements and his stage shows.

The first look of Baar Baar Dekho starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif is out! Sidharth Malhotra recently took to Twitter to release two stills from the film.
The actors will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the film and have wrapped up shooting for it. The film apparently revolves around the journey of a couple across different age groups and the two will be seen in a number of different looks.

According to reports, Deepika Padukone has signed Kabir Khan’s next opposite Salman Khan. But the actress apparently agreed to do the yet untitled film only on certain conditions that she put forth ahead of giving the project a green signal. 
A source close to the movie revealed, “Deepika signed this film with Salman on a condition that Kabir Khan promised her a meaty role. She did not want a small part, which is typical for any Salman movie. She has clearly asked Kabir to be careful of her part in the film.”

It is a well-known fact that Ram Leela’s initial cast was supposed to be Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan. But it didn't work out.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently opened up about the issue in an interview. He was quoted saying, “The set was made already, and it was shocking: her exit 10 days before shooting.”
After this, Sanjay contacted Deepika Padukone for the lead role. He added, “So, I went to Deepika. She was unwell and she had fever, and she was beautiful. It was recently revealed that Shahid Kapoor will be playing a delusional rockstar in his upcoming film Udta Punjab. And now there are reports doing the rounds that the role is allegedly based on the life of Yo Yo Honey Singh, who had recently gone underground as he was apparently battling his addictions.
The film’s team has officially denied any resemblance between Shahid’s Tommy Singh and Honey Singh, but a source from the film has apparently admitted that there are similarities between the two.
The source says, “The whole cult of the wild raunchy Punjabi rock star was spearheaded by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Toh kahin na kahin usski chabbi to aani hi hai. I’d say Shahid plays a much wilder and far more aggressive version of Yo Yo.”
Shahid is cast as a Punjabi musician in Birmingham, who is brought by his Tauji played by Satish Kaushik to Punjab to become a rockstar.
“It’s a wild character who indulges in rampant substance abuse,” adds the source. more info
