Filmmaker and Gangs of Wasseypur actor Tigmanshu Dhulia is all set to make a film on illegal immigrants for Humanicy World Cinema Entertainment .

 

A report in the Times of India quoted Angelo Antonio Toriello, an Italian activist and diplomat from the organization Humanicy, who confirmed, "Yes, we are working on a project with Tigmanshu Dhulia and it is based on social issues. We will be collaborating with Bollywood as well as Hollywood actors. However, the project is in its initial stages right now and we haven't finalised the cast. In India, we are planning to approach Irrfan for the project based on illegal immigrants. We will be making an official announcement on the film soon." 

 

However, sources close to the project also said that popular British actor Daniel Craig, better know as James Bond in the 007 series might meet Tigmanshu and discuss the project. "So far, nothing is final, but we may introduce the project to Craig," said the source. More-Info

Bollywood buffs and music fans are not new to the feats achieved by this octogenarian singer, but her fame also has massive international following. Thus when, Indian comedian Tanmay Bhat of AIB fame, made fun of the respected artist recently with a series of videos on Twitter, there was a severe backlash against the comedian, to the extent of some demanding his arrest.

However, what was further shocking is that a well-known newspaper like the New York Times, while reporting on the controversy called Lataji a ‘so-called playback singer of Bollywood films whose career dates to the 1940s’.  Tanmay Bhat may be crass, but this is an even bigger faux pas!

The recent months have surely not been very smooth for Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif. The Phantom actress has not only braved the stress and strain of a breakup with her ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor but has also had to honour work commitments with him despite their relationship going bust.  Even Kat’s recent trip to London seemed to have done her little good, reported an article in Mumbai Mirror, as she was spotted clandestinely arriving for a health check-up at a Khar hospital on Sunday evening as her manager and a female staff member from the hospital stood guard at the entrance.

The 32-year-old actress made a quick dash out of her car to enter the premises through the back door and emerged only 45 minutes later.  While, there’s no update on the diagnosis, we do hope Kat recovers quickly from whatever it is that could be ailing her. More-Info

Veteran lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar is clearly seeing red after watching the recent controversial video made by comedian Tanmay Bhat mocking legends Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. In a recent interview to DNA, Javed Akhtar went on record to insist that Tanmay Bhat has “the mind of a cockroach”!

This is what he said when with regards to the controversial video. “This chap has the mind of a cockroach. Humour is something we all appreciate. But what is funny about ridiculing Lataji? The video is cheap and unworthy of getting any attention. The chap had not bargained for the backlash. Since he had gotten away with so much crassness in the past he thought he would get away this time. But there are celebrities. And then there is Lata Mangeshkar. You can’t get away with ridiculing her.”

Akhar continues, “You can criticise Lataji’s flawless songs and singing if you are so crazily inclined, you can comment on Sachin’s batting. But you can’t make obscene comments on their age and looks. That is not funny by any yardstick.” More-Info

As is the case with the Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor; who is quite a stunner herself.  The star daughter is currently attending an acting course in Los Angeles in preparation for her ultimate Bollywood debut. Apparently, Jhanvi was on her way back from a vacation when the shutterbugs tried to get her photos at the Mumbai airport. Rather surprisingly, the Kapoor girl got her bodyguards to stop the shutterbugs from clicking her. As per the reports, the paparazzi had to give away their cameras for a bit and only after she sat inside her car and sped away were the cameras returned to the owners.

Just last month the current Begum of Pataudi, aka Kareena Kapoor Khan, denied rumours of her being in the family way, yet the news of the actress’s pregnancy refuses to die down!

Kareena and hubby Saif Ali Khan who are rumoured to be expecting their first child were also spotted recently holidaying in the British capital, but as per a source in SpotboyE, the couple are now back to home base after the relaxing London trip.
