Ranveer Singh has hiked his fee, reportedly to double of what it used to be, after the success of Bajirao Mastani. He has also allegedly upped his fee for his endorsements and his stage shows.

A source was quoted saying, “Ranveer charged 2 crore, a little less than what Shah Rukh Khan charges, for every stage performance. And since he performed at almost every stage performance this season, you can easily figure out how much money he accrued through his live shows at the awards this year.”

Other sources have said that Ranveer’s equity has “shot through the sky” after his film beat the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s film. Looks like King Khan is getting some stiff competition from the young star!

The first look of Baar Baar Dekho starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif is out! Sidharth Malhotra recently took to Twitter to release two stills from the film.

The actors will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in the film and have wrapped up shooting for it. The film apparently revolves around the journey of a couple across different age groups and the two will be seen in a number of different looks.

Sid was previously quoted saying that his character in the upcoming film ages from 18 to 60, but it is not a time travel or a science fiction story.

The film has been directed by Nitya Mehra and is scheduled to release on September 9. We can’t wait to see their chemistry on screen! more info

Shahid Kapoor finally confirmed that his wife Mira Rajput expecting their first child!

With a busy schedule ahead, Shahid will allegedly be juggling his professional commitments, to spend as much time as possible with Mira especially around the due date. Apparently, the Kapoor household is doting on Mira as it is the first grandchild for the family.

When asked about a possibility of Jab We Met 2, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan made it clear that they may never romance again on screen.

At the trailer launch of Udta Punjab, the actors were asked about how happy or unhappy they were personally on not sharing screen space together. To which Shahid responded, “So you are asking are we happy or unhappy about something that has not happened.”

And Kareena joked, “The DVD of Jab We Met is available in the market.”

When prodded more, Kareena looked towards Shahid and said, “That’s for Imtiaz to answer no, Shahid.” And he replied, “If it had to happen, it would have happened. Imtiaz has moved on.” The question surely seems to have disturbed Shahid!

According to reports, Deepika Padukone has signed Kabir Khan’s next opposite Salman Khan. But the actress apparently agreed to do the yet untitled film only on certain conditions that she put forth ahead of giving the project a green signal. 

A source close to the movie revealed, “Deepika signed this film with Salman on a condition that Kabir Khan promised her a meaty role. She did not want a small part, which is typical for any Salman movie. She has clearly asked Kabir to be careful of her part in the film.”

The actress was initially being considered for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and even Sultan opposite Salman, however the films went to Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. We do hope this time around the stars will be paired together!

It is a well-known fact that Ram Leela’s initial cast was supposed to be Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan. But it didn't work out.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently opened up about the issue in an interview. He was quoted saying, “The set was made already, and it was shocking: her exit 10 days before shooting.”

After this, Sanjay contacted Deepika Padukone for the lead role. He added, “So, I went to Deepika. She was unwell and she had fever, and she was beautiful. The neck was so long and those watery gorgeous eyes! I thought, what is this girl all about?” It was a great choice indeed as Ranveer and Deepika's great on screen chemistry made the film a huge hit! more info

It was recently revealed that Shahid Kapoor will be playing a delusional rockstar in his upcoming film Udta Punjab. And now there are reports doing the rounds that the role is allegedly based on the life of Yo Yo Honey Singh, who had recently gone underground as he was apparently battling his addictions.

The film’s team has officially denied any resemblance between Shahid’s Tommy Singh and Honey Singh, but a source from the film has apparently admitted that there are similarities between the two.

The source says, “The whole cult of the wild raunchy Punjabi rock star was spearheaded by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Toh kahin na kahin usski chabbi to aani hi hai. I’d say Shahid plays a much wilder and far more aggressive version of Yo Yo.”

Shahid is cast as a Punjabi musician in Birmingham, who is brought by his Tauji played by Satish Kaushik to Punjab to become a rockstar.

“It’s a wild character who indulges in rampant substance abuse,” adds the source. more info
